Wild baby rabbits nurse infrequently, and mom is often away from the nest, so when a nest is found it can seem like they are abandoned. However, it is usually best to leave them undisturbed since they often don’t fare well when hand raised. Once in a while, though, circumstances dictate that they are cared for by people. That was the case with these bunnies who were brought in by a client last week. We tube fed them and kept them warm and dry until the family could transport them to a rehabilitator. Hopefully, they will soon return to the wild. Thanks to that family who took time out of a very hectic day to do a kind deed!
